Crave Perfection?

Blog73:

Perfection!
Who wants and desires it?
-One brings an unpopular issue to roundtable talk; it gets dead on arrival
-A presenter gets off topic in a conference call; talking points break away
-Someone oversleeps and his whole morning schedule gets off-track
-The party host mishandles a cup of tea and it ruins a white table cloth
-I drop a piece of food en route to my mouth and it stains my shirt
-A housekeeper multi-tasks, forgets what’s on stove; her stew is dried out
-At the Cleaners one uses the wrong bleach; a dress’s color is damaged
-The speaker miss-speaks and his words, thoughts are misinterpreted
-I don’t go over my receipt well at the register and I get short-changed

Have you not heard that nobody’s perfect?

Perfection …

… The want to be flawless, right, and proper!

… The yearning to be in the state of faultlessness!

… The craving to arrive at a point as good and as able!

It is an ideal that could not be attained!

I could push myself as a perfectionist
Get myself unsatisfied with anything
Fuss, huff, and puff unless something that’s done is perfect
Set myself up to reach for the ideal … be just right
Direct myself to be unadulterated … impeccable
Expect others to become most appropriate … absolute
Act on becoming perfectly good … seamless
Be exactly right for a purpose … be wholesome
Complete something without any mistakes … be precise

Still ... all will be in vain and imperfect!

Why then point to and desire perfection, you ask?
To go on daily living without a measure … a gauge … a standard
Is to aimlessly go about any and all reckless paths!
