Dawn

B48:

Dawn … daybreak … daylight …
Dawn begins twilight
Twilight - that very soft light.

Light giving way to the not yet visible sun
We call sunrise -

An instant before the sun reaches the horizon.

 How calm that is
That moment at which the sun appears on the skyline

Without demanding, it calls on us
Without force, it invites as if to say …

“Come and see the sun crossing the vista!”
In awe, we marvel, and then ask, “How does it crop up?”

One declares, “When Earth moves, the sun appears.”
Another exclaims, “It simply is an illusion of a moving light.”
Scientists want to call it ‘sunsight’ … ‘sunclipse’

Few others claim daybreak light varies on ‘atmosphere’.
“What’s true?” we ask.

The reply: “Timing of sun rising changes throughout a year’s span!”

Between you and me, breaking daylight

Convincingly is like that of a romance budding … forming.

Cultures build myths from it.

Religions speak of a Master’s handiwork with it.

Behold the striking hues … glowing orange, striking red
Brilliant colors explode, bombard
Intensity, contrast, lighting blend

And with the now yellow bright rays
Nature’s beauty ... dawn, begins and then it ends.
