He gets up, she lays asleep

She waits, he moves on

He works, she rests

They begin to weave a day.

He brews coffee, she smells its aroma

She makes bread, he butters it

He joyfully gives, she thankfully receives

They dance the dance of day.

She sweeps up around, in and out

He cuts and trims the grass

She washes and presses  

They toil and labor in the day.

He browses the headlines

She thoroughly thinks upon them

He lists and computes expenses

They make sense of day’s harvest.

Always … duos sway into life’s rhythms.
