Silence ...

Blog106:
Silence evokes layers of meaning and understanding.  You could find silence attractive in some sense.  You could also silence someone or prevent an individual from expressing opposition and criticism about something and/or someone.
In a chaotic scenario, you could covet for silence to step in to keep your sanity.  When your world is tumbling you want your mind to clear and find silence.  When you literally want to hear something, silence could be most desired.  The absence of sound or noise could clarify something and convey to you the much needed information you want to understand.  Silence … the complete absence of sound or noise could afford you desirable peace within.
In a different scenario, you might want to silence someone because her opinion would wreak havoc in your world and life.  You would do anything to keep someone’s mouth quiet so that secrets and terrible skeletons you have in your closet do not come out.  You might bribe to silence someone.  You might threaten or intimidate a person to keep her quiet.  But for how long could secrets stay hidden?  You decide the courses and consequences of silencing someone to shield your own faults and misgivings that are ruinous.  Anything you want hidden that is spoken out to the world could be destructive to your existence.  You want silence.  Anything else will simply be catastrophic!
A deafening silence could drive you crazy.  An absolute, complete silence could be frightening, especially when you are alone.  Shattering silence mixed with fear could increase your heartbeat, deaden your senses, and feed all types of cunning voices in your head!
Silence … stillness … noise absence … speechlessness … has powerful yet dangerous effect in our psyche and immediate realm!
Do you desire silence?
