My thumbprint’s swirl is nothing like anyone else’s
The biological design that composes every part of me is mine alone
The complex functions of my brain … my heart … make me who I am!

I … am … ME!
My height was decided long before I grew out to be ME
The color of my eyes was made certain before I opened them
The melanin under my skin willingly unfolded the color of my skin!

I … am … ME!
My hair’s texture was unmistakably distinct before I could comb it
The shape of my face  and nose were determined before I saw them
My fingers and toes are mine to like and laugh about!
 
I … am … ME!
Every fiber of my being is mine to keep
Every sound that comes out of my mouth is mine to shout out
My DNA sums all that makes me, ME!

 

I … am … ME!
My hurt and sadness are mine
My joy and comfort are mine
My aspirations and potentials are mine to claim!
