Convoluted, religious fanatics fight without due cause!
Thousands suffer from man-made and natural calamities!

In heavenly skies …

Still … many illnesses have no cure!
‘Get now, pay later syndrome’ grows unstoppable tentacles!
While their parents slam themselves in divorce courts,
Children endure pain and left to fend for themselves!
Abuse and neglect within nuclear homes refuse to go away!
Inequality by virtues of birth and opportunity remains!

Perfect Day?

In not so distant time, I ponder today of a perfect day ...

-Up at 6AM and be licked and smacked by critters
-Tenderly welcome a hug and a kiss or peck from Mickey
-Enjoy freshly-brewed coffee with just the right amount of cream and sweetener
-Catch up with world news, political, economic and health life in the world
-Do one or two maintenance chores while listening to favorite theme songs
-Check and respond to social media communications
-Reflect on the day so far while at play with Cinn and Dink
-Progress on a project on plate, and truly revel in the moment of quiet
-Touch-base with Mickey for any work-related errands, business expectations
-Discover and learn something new for the day
-Carry out an act of kindness
-Volunteer time, energy/expertise/resource to a worthwhile cause
-Contemplate on something that impacted the day and blog-write about it
-Look out of the window, find a spot / something not noticed before, and be awed
-Indulge in something that satisfies the heart … brain … soul …
-Relax and wonder at the beauty … integrity … or pulses of life
-Tell loved ones or someone of your appreciation and love for kindness bestowed
-Thank God for the day’s graces and time well-spent
-Turn-in for the night at 11PM … rest and get renewed
-Pray … eat … pray … love … pray … think out loud … pray … live/breathe ...
 
Indeed, this would be my kind of an ideal day!

Would it be store bought?

Would it be a kind act of service?
Would it be a skill that builds strengths or weaknesses?
Would it be a resource that sustains?

 

Season of giving … what would it bring?
Something awesomely whimsical, perhaps?
Would it delight or entertain a while?
Would it adorn and feed one’s vanity?
Would it serve a useful purpose?
Would it ease present hunger or pain?
Would it stand the test of time?

 

Season of giving … why does it move us?
Well … it’s better to give than to receive!
Season of giving … where did all begin?
Long ago … from the Giver and Sustainer of all created!

Trust is faith?

Faith is trust?

Which is which?

Faith in something could be blind!

Faith in someone could be crystal-clear!

Either one moves us inward to faithfully trust!

 

We put our faith or trust one way or the other …

We put our trust and faith in something

We put our faith in a principle, a prophet, and a person of worth

We trust and believe in somebody to do the right thing

We believe and trust that some act or thought is right

We believe in God of the world, the heavens: creator … shepherd

We believe in religion that makes sense in our day-to-day life

 

When you and I reap acts of an honest and sincere intent …

We’re in good faith.

When you and I are victims of a deliberate act of evil-doing …

We’re in bad faith.

When our faith on somebody is breached by deceit, failure to deliver …

We break faith.

When our trust on something or someone is genuinely kept …

We keep the faith.

When we put our trust on something intangible …

We stand firm on our act of faith.

 

Faith in something could be blind!

Either one moves us inward to faithfully trust!

Hosting a gathering is fun, but it is stressful even for a small familiar group.   However, you can make it easy on yourself by remembering to have fun and excitement all in all.  Before you attend to details, it’s necessary that you tidy up the chosen place, and ensure it is decent and comfortable for all pampering needs of guests.  You then strategize on setting, refreshments, and social activity for group interaction.   

Cleaning up is a pain, though it is obligatory to do just so.  Cobwebs, dust and clutter are all unsightly for anyone.  They dampen any festive-intended occasion, so all must t go away!  If you initially do a little clean-up, time for more important details before the event could all be completed.  It would relax you and puff away nerve-racking uncertainties.    A fresh-looking venue tells your guests that you care about their ease, well-being and soothing experience.  It lives a secure, cozy feeling too.  Creating a reassuring scene next, contributes to cheerful spirits.  It is all about choosing the right lighting, and appropriate music.  Both bolster calm and ease.  Accents here and there that create pieces of conversation and appreciation add flavor to the mood and tone of the group and the place.  Refreshments, in addition to scene and upkeep, add to the success of getting friends or family together.  Simple, easy-to prepare and favorite recipes that indulge the palate are sure winners.  Setting up corners or centers for well-tested juices and cold or hot drinks, appetizers, and sweets works!  If you want a worry-free service and attention to everyone’s whim, you could include camouflaged trash bins alongside cutlery, napkins, plates, cups, and glasses, so that everyone cleans up after herself/himself.  In the end, restoring the place to its day-to-day normal look becomes a breeze!  With well-thought self-service tricks, you could trouble-free socialize.  When you’re not worried about serving every need of anyone in the midst, you become part of the group.  You could finally maximize time on social activities beside normal chat and chatter.  What game would bring great participation, laughter or lasting gathering memories?  Could you bring out the bashful to try gigs and fun dance steps?  Will you get folks to sing or do charades?  All are fun considerations that you could early on assign to few close family and friends to help you with.  Right you are … you do not have to do all preps and undertakings to have a wonderful, successful event hosting!

You know that people you invite to come together with you would not mind imperfections of any sort at the gathering.  With that in mind, you should really not try to push yourself beyond expectations!  Easy … does it.  The essential point is to create an atmosphere of enjoyment and togetherness.  So … work a little,  and revel to the max!  Parttteee!
