For carnal abuses of the innocents
For ignoring help cries of the poor and the disabled
For care neglect of the sick, the widows and the elderly
For intolerance of faith practices and choices
For shaming and lording over people’s lives
For lies told that destroy lives and reputation
For endangering the natural environment
For abandoning and neglecting marital / familial vows
For overlooking lower creatures’ requisites
For abusing the waters and its life
For denuding the forests and mountains
For carelessly mining and farming the grounds

Forgive us for our immeasurable sins and transgressions
Pluck the muck in our hearts, we pray, GOD of Love!
Cleanse and purify our thoughts and spirits, God of Mercy!

Roads and paths aren’t always clear of hazards
Thank you Lord for affording us safe passages
Actions of people aren’t always kind and gentle
Thank you Lord for lovingly affecting our reactions
Hours in a day aren’t always enough for tasks that require attention
Thank you Lord for new days into which they could be completed
Meaningful plans and intentions aren’t always held on fast and abided
Thank you Lord for focusing minds on what truly counts
Words and thoughts we speak of aren’t always compassionate
Thank you Lord for controlling cruel hearts and tongues

Shape and mold us all into the children and adults YOU desire, O GOD!
