Nothing hides one’s restlessness

Not one’s eyes or voice
Neither does one’s demeanor
Nor facial expression
Even the voice gets mute …
An agitated mind reflects all mixed feelings
Of anger, hurt, injury!

Where does one retreat when minds’ clash?
How does one block the whole being from freezing?

Pain must first go away
Before one’s restlessness subsides

Uneasiness has no way out
'Til mind and body heal!

For ME!

She woke up ...

She awoke from self-inflicted oppression out of the blue-
"I don't want any more to do domestic work ...
And I don't want to do what others always want me to do!"
She declared firmly.
She blurted without hesitation.
Just like that ... it was over-
Cleaning up and putting away dishes
Sorting, washing, folding or pressing clothes
Dusting window ledges, tabletops and counters
Making and re-making beds
Tidying floors and showers
Scrubbing tub and toilet bowls
Keeping the floors of the house swept
Picking up toys after kids' play
Making rooms pleasant to live in
"Enough of toils!"
"Enough of diligence!"
"Enough of everything!"
"Enough of anything for anyone!"
"I choose what I want for ME … now!"

In Motion ...

Motion unaware ...
Earth spinning on its axis
Sun creeping from the east
Blue skies hanging overhead
Spring water flowing down the mountains
Breeze blowing softly everywhere
My heart beating, pumping, sending
My brain searching, re-arranging, analyzing
Time moving, traveling, passing
Nothing stays still
Until 'being' is extinguished!

Wrath

Anger …

Undesirable, unwanted, unsolicited
Anything unruly triggers it
Explosion or implosion worsens it
Loud and irate voices
Indignant, infuriated, emotions
All butt and grip
Until schism mounts or dissipates

Wrath!

Toys ...

Searched for, pleaded with, frolicked around
Shared, tossed, dragged
Amused selves with all day
Occupied mind with them time and time again
Shunned old ones over new ones
Loved and hugged best-liked ones
Nondescript objects that inspire
Tangible things that stimulate
Stirring, motivating, enthusing
Whether they’re raggedy or poised …
All bring solace and ease
To creatures of the lesser kind
Toys!

When you have all the time in your hand
People around you wonder what you do with it

Let me mind what I do with my time
I won’t bother what you do with yours …

Whether it be a moment, an occasion, a period
Whether it be a spell, a stretch, a stage

Unstructured time …
It is fleeting
It is constant
It is unending
Lasting or temporal
It is in my hands!
