Nation
building is complex!Putting infrastructures that serve common good require grand outlay
So does creating internal or external national security
But in the long run all are convinced they serve citizens’ common good
Thus wise governance and citizenship must intertwine
Education of both young and old lead to strongly prepared workers
Yet resources for insuring it also has a hefty price tag
Teachers alone doing the work would never harvest great results
All must make sacrifices to achieve goals and meet high standards
Power and influence build necessary blocks
But when those able to climb critical positions get corrupt
Or worse, become abusive, controlling and dominant
They threaten and violate trust of people who sent them to serve
What have Assad, Morsi, and Hunsen failed to learn in historical time?
Mediocre education and stomping human rights aren’t nation building
Increasing weapons or abusing power don’t elevate a state’s status
Nation building happens as governors and governed truly dialog and act!
Creating a nation of peace and prosperity is far intricate!
