A King is Dead

An earthly monarchical king is dead
His people mourn for a hundred days ...

All over the kingdom
His iconic face takes center stage
And in public and private establishment
He is revered ... at least for a few more days
Until his body is burned and given a royal send-off
Amidst solemn prayers and adoration

An earthly monarchial king is dead
So what?
Life takes its natural course
It lives, then it is extinguished
Whether or not one likes it!
